Beef Cabbage Soup

Products :

  1. Flank Steak 1 lbs
  2. 2 Serrano peppers, half onion, half fennel
  3. 2 carrots ,1 cabbage, few small potatoes
  4. Salt & pepper, tomato paste
  5. Caraway seeds, allspice, chili paste, bay leaves
  6. soy sauce and honey

Clean beef from visible fat and cut them into thin strips. Clean and cut Serrano peppers also into thin strips. Then onion and fennel, carrots and potatoes.Clean and cut cabbage.

When all products are prepared it is time to start cooking . Put to the pot and boil 2 cups of water , add salt. When it’s boiling add meat and cover it. Cook for 15 minutes adding bay leaves.  Then add onion and fennel, cover and cook for another 10 minutes . Add another 2 cups of water. Add carrots and potatoes. After another 5 minutes add cabbage and Serrano pepper. Stir and add another cup of water.

Season with caraway seeds, soy sauce, salt & pepper, tomato paste, then fresh dill, allspice and honey. Stir gently and  cook for few more minutes. Serve, garnish with fresh dill.
